Lamp Mexico with the TEC in “i-Week”

From 24 - 28 September, we will be collaborating with the TEC from the Monterrey Campus in Mexico City during “i-Week”, a weekof i-nnovation, i-magination and i-mmersion.

Within the programme of interactive and multidisciplinary activities, we will count on the presence of different lighting designers who will accompany us and talk about different aspects related to the lighting and design sector.

On the one hand, Miriam Jiménez, Mónica Vega, Mario Flores, Oscar Aguayo and Alberto Mendoza will talk to us about the importance of lighting in architecture through examples of their daily work and their experiences when starting out in the lighting designer profession.

On the other hand, we will also visit the office of Gustavo Avilés, so that the students can see inside an office dedicated to this activity and know that it is another option they can develop in the design world.

Finally, Miguel Calanchini will be the judge over the conceptual works submitted by students in order to determine the winning team. He will also talk to us about the importance of participating in international design competitions, taking advantage of the opening of the Lamp Awards on 1st October.

Lamp has always been committed to training young people and the future professionals of the sector. Last year, Lamp Mexico participated in the “i-Week” in Guadalajara and also travelled to Barcelona with a group of students from the TEC to visit Lamp’s headquarters and factory in Terrassa.
