Lamp receives a Silver rating in the EcoVadis evaluation ranking
Lamp has been ranked by EcoVadis among the top 25% of companies with the best performance in terms of social responsibility, obtaining the SILVER classification.
What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is considered to be the most reliable corporate sustainability ranking in the world, with more than 75,000 companies assessed, in more than 160 countries from over 200 different sectors.
The assessment focuses on 21 sustainability criteria grouped into four themes:
- Labour practices and human rights;
- Sustainable Procurement.
These criteria are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the ISO 26000 standard, the CERES roadmap and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, also known as the Ruggie Framework.
What does it mean for Lamp?
For Lamp it means a further step in the consolidation of one of our strategic lines #WorktitudeForLife from which we promote projects that generate a positive impact on the environment, working responsibly with the aim of reducing the environmental impact along the entire value chain.
Together with the classification, from EcoVadis we obtain an evaluation sheet and a plan where the main areas for improvement are identified, to incorporate them into our sustainability plan for the next 3 years, helping us to prioritise those actions that generate a greater positive impact. It also allows us to be part of a platform of business partners that prioritise sustainability and social responsibility throughout their value chain.
What do we do at Lamp?
In addition to the more visible actions, such as the research and application of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials and technologies in our portfolio (such as the use of recycled aluminium, etc...), or the recent recognition as a Sustainable SME 2021 by Aplanet,
at Lamp we have a working team to centralise, promote and lead actions related to the environment: the Sustainability Committee.
Together we continue to work with the aim of providing realistic, efficient, sustainable solutions, aligned with the current climate reality, to build an increasingly sustainable lighting industry.
