History

1972-1982

LAMP is created in 1972. Specialising in the manufacturing of fluorescent luminaries and modular systems.

1982-1992

Sales increases are achieved due to the strengthening of the company's structure and introduction of new manufacturing equipment and fluorescent structures. The range of products is also increased and the company starts to be present at international trade fairs (Hannover 1990).

1992-2000

In order to maintain a good delivery service automatization of the warehouse is instigated.

Research & Development department grows with the aim of offering new products and marketing departments for the design and development of more new products including a new range of downlighters and low luminance reflectors for fluorescent luminaries and modular systems. International expansion is consolidated with a new factory in Chile to service the South American markets and a commercial office in France.

2000-2011

It begins the work on the new location and once on it, LAMP robotised structures and fixtures production. Offices, laboratory, factory and warehouse have been centralized and the company faces the process of computerization logistics. The departments of Marketing and Comercial merge to guide the new brand image and technical catalog to market needs.

The France delegation became a subsidiary in 2008 and Lamp launched a commercial delegation in Thailand to cover the south-east Asia. Also is started the implementation in China with a production center and sales office.

During this period the company's organigram is reestructured by strengthening the technical area and the R&D.

In 2008 LAMP organized the first edition of the Lamp Lighting Solutions Awards with a great success of participation, which is confirmed and surpassed in the second edition in 2009. The third edition ceremony took place on the emblematic World Trade Center building in Barcelona last 10th June 2010, with the attendance of 350 professionals of the sector and the delivery of 4 awards per category with a total value of 30.000€. On the present edition 2011, the prize-giving event takes places on Palau de la Música Catalana, gathering more than 500 international professionals and giving awards for 33.000€.

LAMP inaugurates on 5th March 2010 FOSHAN CITY LAMP LIGHTING Co. Ltd., the new factory in China, with the objective of attending the recently increasing lighting demand in Asiatic countries such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. This way LAMP get’s closer to clients and offer them a more personalized service.

In 2011, LAMP sets up a new Delegation for Middle East with headquarter in Dubai. Also in late 2011, LAMP opens a new sales office in London (UK) to consolidate in the British market, and opens another sales office in Beijing (China) to enter the Asian giant.
